Interview:
1. A doctor: to ascertain a professional opinion on the physical dangers of alcohol.
2. A social worker or psychologist to gain their perspective on the affects of teenagers drinking
Poll/Survey: of teenagers (age group TBD) to understand their level of alcohol consumption, any problems they face, and how alcohol affects them physical and mentally (problems at school etc)
Lecture/presentation: I would like to attend a lecture or presentation by either a toxicologist or biology lecturer relating to alcohol consumption and the inherent risks.

I think your ideas for field research sound pretty good already! Maybe you could also survey the lifestyles/demographic of the kids who tend to drink the most and see if that has anything to do it?! Perhaps a survey to get to the root of why!?
ReplyDeleteYou might also consider interviewing someone that is underage and is drinking and see how they think it affects their life then speak to some of their friends and see how they think their friend is affected by this underage drinking.
ReplyDeleteYou have very strong field research options. I might suggest maybe interviewing someone who drank a lot as a kid, and see if it affected them in any way.
ReplyDeleteThis might be a bit of a stretch (only because your ideas are very strong) but you could interview law enforcement officials on any classes they have taken or experiences they have had on the matter. Maybe even get a first hand story on how it effected someone through an officer.
